Signature Quilt for the 2024 International Quilt Festival

“A 1915 Variation of a Goose on a Pond” by Tammy Morris and quilted by Eva Ellison was selected as the Signature Quilt for the 2024 International Quilt Festival Houston.

We caught up with the duo at International Quilt Festival 2024, where Tammy and Eva shared laughs and insights about their recent collaboration.

The quilt was on the cover of the official show program and one side of the show tote bag. In addition to appearing in advertising, the quilt hung in a place of honor at the show’s prominent exhibit, “50 Years of Great Quilts”.

This beautiful piece was quilted on an APQS Lucey. To ensure accuracy and uniformity, Eva used Quilt Path’s CAD program to design the feather stems and Quilt Path on her Lucey to stitch the stems. She then completed the feathers and the remainder of the work with free motion quilting.
